Plenty of lovely tributes have poured in for Gráinne, with many of them being from Bosco fans who grew up watching the show.
“I want to express my sympathy to the family and friends of Grainne. As a young child, I loved watching Grainne on Bosco, she has given me happy memories as a girl, she was so much fun. I am so sorry to hear this sad news, may she rest in peace,” one fan wrote.
“There is a generation of Irish people sad today at Gráinne’s passing. Her voice and vibrancy on screen is etched into my memory. Such great memories of simpler times. She was iconic and may she Rest In Eternal Peace. Sympathies to her family and friends,” another said.
A third person left a lovely message, “Grainne you were my doppelganger even though we never met!! My kids grew up watching you on Bosco and used to say. “Mammy, you’re on the telly” so thank you for the memories and may you now rest in Peace in your Heavenly Bed. Condolences to your husband, children, grandchildren and extended family and friends.”
