MULTAN: Customs Enforcement officials destroyed a large amount of smuggled goods in a special ceremony.
After completing all legal procedures, officials set fire to the illegal items. The total value of the destroyed goods was approximately 3.8 billion rupees.
According to customs officials, 43 different types of items were destroyed. These included cigarettes, betel nuts, milk powder, vapes, and shisha flavors, Mobile phones, cosmetics, and personal care products were also burned.
The ceremony was attended by senior customs officers, including Collector Sameer Mustansar Tarar and Additional Collector Syed Itrat Hussain. Deputy Collectors Javad-ul-Hasan and Yawar Hayat, and Assistant Collector Ayesha Siddiqa, were also present.
