The popular presenter has been missed by many fans on the airwaves since her departure from Dublin’s 98FM last June, but now she is back, at least for a short while
Suzanne Kane will be making her long-awaited return to radio after her departure from Dublin’s 98FM last year.
However, it is not a permanent return to the airwaves for the popular broadcaster, as she announced she will just be filling in for Louise Cantillon from Tuesday until Friday this week.
Suzanne will be on air from 12 pm to 2 pm starting tomorrow on Today FM, and she shared a funny video of herself catching a pair of headphones and a microphone thrown to her by her husband, Joey, as she gets ready to get back to work.
“Let’s have lunch and catch up! Can’t wait”, she wrote in the video’s caption.
Everyone in the comments was delighted by the exciting news, including members from the Today FM team.
“I opened this app for some good news. I found some epic news. Day. Made.” wrote Today FM DJ Dec Pierce.
“Woohoo!! Guess I’ll be listening to Today FM for the first time, bring it on! Delighted to see you’re back where you belong,” a sweet fan commented.
“The whole nation is going to have a great week so!” another said.
“You just love to see it,” said TV presenter Anna Daly.
Suzanne announced her departure from 98FM last year after she had been missing from her show with Brian Dowling, called Brian Dowling & Suzanne Kane, for a few months.
After taking a three-month hiatus from the airwaves, she grappled with the right decision to make, and previously said those weeks were very “tough” for her as she made the difficult decision to step away from the show.
The mum-of-three told RSVP Live that she found comfort in the kind words from people on social media during that tough period of time, she said, “The support I have gotten from women on Instagram has been incredible. It’s like a galhood of complete strangers that were sending me messages just to say, ‘I get it, I see you’. Working mums understand the struggle”.
