Tommy Fleming and Tina Mitchell hit headlines over the weekend when news broke that they have split up after 20 years of marriage and ended their working relationship too
Tommy Fleming’s stepdaughter has spoken out about “disgusting” online abuse following the news that he and his wife, Tina, had split up, which made headlines over the weekend.
On Sunday, Tina Mitchell issued a statement to confirm her 20-year marriage to Tommy ended last October.
She has also stepped down as his manager.
It comes as gardaí confirmed they are investigating the leaking of an audio recording of a private conversation involving the singer.
Now, Tina’s daughter Rebecca has spoken about the level of abuse she and her mum have received in the wake of the news.
She told EVOKE: “It really isn’t something I wanted to speak about, but the level of abuse both my mum and I have received in the past 24 hours is honestly disgusting.
“We did not have any participation in what we are being accused of. Please, before you comment, think about the people going through this torture for the past eight months.
“Please respect our privacy and please be kind, we are all hurting. The truth will always prevail.”
Confirming the end of her personal and working relationship with Tommy, Tina told the Sunday Independent last weekend: “I confirm that our marriage has ended, and we have been separated since October 2025.
“TF Productions Ltd has ceased trading, and I am no longer involved in [Tommy’s] career or management in any capacity, now or in the future.
“My sole focus is on rebuilding my life and protecting my two children and my father during this time.
“I respectfully ask for privacy as we navigate this very difficult period. No further comment will be made.”
Tommy and Tina met at a funeral back in 2002.
The singer previously told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “I met Tina, at a funeral. Everyone says to me, ‘What?’.
“We were at a mutual friend’s funeral in Castlebar in Mayo. Tina came in and sat beside me and we started talking in the church, just whispering.
“We ended up, as you do, going for pints after. And we spent the day doing it.
“There was two of us on our own and two other friends just sitting at the bar the whole day. I suppose that’s how we struck a chord.”
Tommy and Tina got engaged in 2004 while visiting Cape Town in South Africa, and married in Clifden, Co. Galway, in 2006.
