Nicky Byrne has shared a video montage of his twin sons, Jay and Rocco, with a heartfelt message as they graduate from secondary school today.
The Westlife singer shared some throwback snaps of the boys in the video, which includes a graduation pic with his wife, Georgia Ahern.
The post’s caption reads: “From tiny matching uniforms to their final School day and Graduation.
“How did time move so fast?
“Nobody could have prepared us for this day. Our hearts ache with pride and sadness as our boys close one beautiful chapter and begin another.
“We are so proud of you both. Well done lads you are both just incredible.”
One user commented: “Time really flies! Happy graduation to the boys, Nicky. You must be so proud. Wishing them all the best”
The family celebrated the twins’ 19th birthday last month with Nicky posting to Instagram: “Our boys are becoming men! Happy 19th birthday Rocco and Jay”.
The last few months have been busy for the family of five as their daughter Gia made her confirmation at the end of April along with Georgia celebrating her birthday at the start of May.
Nicky will be having his own milestone soon, alongside bandmates Shane Filan and Kian Egan, who will perform a record-breaking 13 nights at Dublin’s 3Arena, something Nicky admits he and the guys “definitely didn’t expect”.
Speaking to RSVP Magazine about the return, Nicky said: “We came back with a reunion and did Croke Park in 2019 for a couple of nights.
“Then we completed that tour and we came back after Covid and we started the next tour and did two nights at the Aviva and two nights at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, then came back and did three nights at Christmas at the 3Arena.
“We had done all the big venues in the country within four years of each other and then at the end of the last tour, we sat down and said when we celebrate this 25th anniversary, where do we do it in Ireland? Will we do the stadiums, will the demand be there?
“So we thought, if we’ve got the big fan base where people want to relive their teenage years and enjoy a night out with the nostalgia, the 3Arena is the place.”
