Mahindra Reveals Rugged ATV for India’s Security Forces
Anand Mahindra himself shared pictures on the social media platform X of what is called the Mahindra ATV. Showcased at Raksha Triveni Sangam by Mahindra Defense, this is the most tactical version of the Mahindra Thar Roxx so far.
Developed with Prad 4×4, a firm based in Bengaluru, the Mahindra ATV shows off the true potential of the Roxx. Proud of this creation, Anand Mahindra posted pictures on X with a caption that read, “Presenting the Mahindra ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle). No excess. No ornamentation. Just focused on capability. Every bar, every mount, every inch of clearance has a job to do.
ATV Specialties
Built on the diesel version of the Mahindra Thar Roxx, it uses the familiar 2.2L engine tuned to produce a peak power output of 172 HP and 400 Nm of max torque.
In terms of visual changes, it replaces the metal roof and cabin with a roll cage. It features metal bumpers on both ends with heavy-duty tow shackles. The rear bumper includes a tandem tyre carrier and a jerry-can holder.
