Happy weekend, everyone! I hope you have fun plans percolating — or at least a restful couple of days ahead.
You can tell it’s almost summer because we had a post this week about everyone’s favorite sunscreens, AND one about everyone’s favorite carry-on bags. At Drinks with Broads this week, we discussed The Sheep Detectives and an INSANE recipe, plus Heather catches everyone up on where we left the folks on Rivals and I dug through the gift shops of the Newport mansions.

Also related — we were gifted these little bag charms you can use to hold an AirTag and they are EXTREMELY EXTREMELY CUTE in person. They’re spendy and this is a definite non-essential but if you’re looking for a frivolous gift for someone with a big trip coming up this summer, they are truly adorable. (Having an AirTag in my luggage has been a game-changer for me, anxiety-wise, and also for that time my luggage ended up on a really REALLY random airport carousel.)
A really interesting piece: Will Zoe Kazan acknowledge her family’s legacy? I didn’t realize she was the person behind the new East of Eden adaptation. I will say that I think Florence Pugh may be amazing in that role, but I agree with this take that it will be VERY hard to top James Dean’s performance in the original.
Kristen Stewart is doing an ’80s vampire movie? This sounds fun.

I’m really interested to read the comments on this post at Evil Witches about how folks organize their recipes. Mine are NOT.
J.Crew is kicking off their big Memorial Day sale early — 40% off! (There are A LOT of sales coming in the next week.) I love this little shift – all dresses are 50% off — and I’m very tempted by these shorts. I got this shirt last summer and I wear it ALL the time. And I linked this tote earlier in the week but I LOVE it.
Meanwhile, J.Crew Factory has everything 50% off. This little striped polo dress is so cute.
I also LOVE Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam’s place near Vancouver. The wallpaper!!!! It’s so good, it makes me like her more. (I didn’t DISLIKE her but you know what I mean.)

Old Navy is also having a huge sale, including these linen pants I really like and a lot of other reasonable summer basics.
The 90s are SO BACK, if this dress is any indication. I’m tempted by this linen shift. And I sincerely might buy this cardigan.

PSA: QVC has marked down a ton of Elemis, if you need to stock up. (They also have $10 off purchases of $25 or more with code WELCOME10.) I love these resurfacing pads and the pro-collagen line. I want to try their eye patches and the $10 off is useful because those masks are spendy. QVC is actually a great source for eye patches — they have A TON of them. Presumably because the QVC demo is, like me, middle-aged and rapidly alarmed by their under-eye area.
