Conversion Network Targeting Hindus: Concerns over outreach

Conversion Network Targeting Hindus: Concerns over outreach

The extent to which Islamic jihadis are working insidiously and on multiple levels to mislead non-Muslims and convert them to Islam has once again come to light through an interview given by Khalil-ur-Rahman Sajjad Nomani. Nomani is the founder of the Rahman Foundation, patron of ‘Muslim Mirror’, spokesperson for the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and is associated with Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama, Darul Uloom Deoband, the institutions in Medina and the All India Backwards and Minority Communities Employees Federation.

Essentially, in a democratic nation like India, they are establishing a new narrative aimed at fragmenting Hindus, classifying them strictly on the basis of caste, and going so far as to deny their very identity as Hindus. This strategy reveals that Islam’s primary targets are now those groups that can be most easily preyed upon. In terms of caste, if one accepts Sajjad Nomani’s premise, he and his associates do not even consider various groups within the Hindu fold, such as SCs, STs, Jats, Gurjars, Dalits, OBCs and Lingayats- to be Hindus at all.

Focus on the Large Population of Scheduled Castes and Tribes

In terms of sheer numbers, the groups targeted by Islam for conversion, include the vast population of Scheduled Castes and Tribes. According to the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950, there are 1,108 major Scheduled Castes across the 28 states of India. The actual number of their sub-castes exceeds 4,000. For instance, if the ‘Chamar’ caste alone is considered a major Scheduled Caste, it encompasses numerous sub-castes such as Chamar, Jatav, Mochi, Raigar and Ramdasiya.

Similarly, according to the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, more than 705 Scheduled Tribes (STs) are listed across the country. These include major tribes like the ‘Gond,’ ‘Bhil,’ and ‘Santhal,’ alongside over 1,200 smaller and regional sub-tribes. Meanwhile, regarding Jats, Gurjars, Dalits, OBCs and Lingayats, various Jihadi groups and individuals harbouring such ideologies are currently conspiring in diverse ways to convert them to Islam.

If the populations of all these groups are aggregated, they constitute more than 50 per cent of the country’s current population, a demographic upon which alleged Islamic Jihadis are focusing their efforts as they advance toward realising their dream of ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind.’

Indeed, Sajjad Nomani made a subtle allusion to this very phenomenon during his recent conversation. The question now arises: in a democratic nation like India, should anyone be permitted to make such statements or engage in such activities? This constitutes the precise blueprint aimed at gradually and completely Islamizing India, thereby transforming it, in the spirit of ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’, from ‘Dar-ul-Harb’ (the Abode of War) into ‘Dar-ul-Islam’ (the Abode of Islam)!

Changur Baba and the Conversion Network of the Islamic Dawah Centre

When one casts a glance around in this direction today, numerous Islamic groups appear to be actively engaged in this endeavour. The UP Police recently apprehended Changur Baba, an individual orchestrating Islamic conversion. His syndicate stands accused of receiving foreign funding, acquiring assets worth crores of rupees and illegally converting hundreds of people through the use of romantic entrapment and material inducements. Changur Baba, alias Jamaluddin, projected himself as Hazrat Jalaluddin Peer Baba. Agents belonging to his group would ensnare young people in romantic traps to facilitate their religious conversion.

The name ‘Islamic Dawah Center’ also surfaced during the investigation. Mufti Jahangir Qasmi and Mohammad Umar Gautam have been implicated in converting a large number of people. When the conversion racket in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, was exposed, it came to light that deaf-mute children and women had also been converted on a massive scale. In some instances, individuals were coerced into converting through pressure and intimidation.

According to the UP Police, more than 100 people were converted within a single year. The girls brought in for conversion were put in touch with individuals in Kashmir and Pakistan. A handler based in Pakistan would facilitate friendships between these girls and individuals in Kashmir. The objective is to achieve the Islamization of India by the year 2050 through the Islamic practice of ‘Dawah.’

An organised group led by Abdul Rahman Qureshi has been apprehended in Agra. A member of his gang, Aisha Khan, was actively converting non-Muslim girls by brainwashing them. Girls from several states, including Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, were lured into converting their religion. The police have provided detailed information regarding the gang’s modus operandi.

The ‘Corporate Jihad’ in Nashik and the KGMU Lucknow Case

A shocking exposé regarding an ongoing ‘Corporate Jihad’ within the TCS company in Maharashtra (Nashik) has recently come into light, in which Hindu female employees were being targeted for religious conversion and exploitation.

Meanwhile, in connection with the King George Medical University (KGMU) case in Lucknow, which surfaced in January of this year, numerous revelations are emerging regarding Resident Doctor Rameez (alias Rameezuddin Naik or Rameez Malik), who stands accused of ‘Love Jihad.’ Following the discovery of his links to the PFI (Popular Front of India), it has now come to light that he was on a mission to transform the university into a hub for Islamic conversions. Working in collusion with ‘Qazis’ and ‘Maulanas’, he had established a “conversion nursery” within the institution. His primary targets were Hindu women.

According to the police, Rameez was in contact, via mobile phone, with 15 Hindu women (including both students and professors) who were being subjected to attempts at religious conversion. These women hailed from various regions, including Agra, Noida and other districts. Allegations have also surfaced against Rameez’s father, Salimuddin, accusing him of marrying four Hindu women (hailing from Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh), each of whom he allegedly compelled to convert to Islam prior to marriage.

The police state that the father had assigned similar targets to his son, indicating that this illicit operation had been underway for a considerable period. Rameez’s parents, along with several ‘Qazis’ and accomplices, have since been apprehended. The scope of this case has now expanded into an investigation of a vast, organised network, revealing evidence of clandestine hostel meetings, illicit fundraising, and a systematic strategy to target Hindu women.

VHP’s Concerns Regarding ‘Love Jihad’ and Religious Conversion

Milind Parande, the Central Organising Secretary of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), asserts that reports of hundreds of thousands of women going missing across the country have surfaced to date. A significant proportion of these women, he contends, have fallen victim to ‘Love Jihad’, a phenomenon he characterises as a direct form of Islamic religious conversion.

NIA Action and ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’, Hizb-ut-Tahrir

In a similar vein, when the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids across the country at locations linked to individuals associated with ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’, with NIA teams carrying out operations at a total of seven sites across Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, the police apprehended Margub Danish, alias Tahir, in Phulwari Sharif, an area adjacent to Bihar’s capital, Patna. During interrogation, he confessed to working for ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind.’

Today, the NIA is continuously undertaking major operations against Hizb-ut-Tahrir, a radical organisation that promotes Jihad with the ultimate aim of transforming India into an Islamic nation. Hizb-ut-Tahrir is an Islamic organisation explicitly dedicated to converting India into an Islamic state. Its website explicitly states that its objective is to dismantle any system that does not adhere to the will of Allah.

O. Shruti, who was born and raised in a Brahmin family in Kasaragod, Kerala, recounts that while she was studying at an Islamic college, such deep-seated hatred toward Hinduism was instilled in her mind that she did not even realise when she had fully embarked upon the path of Islam. She subsequently underwent conversion and formally embraced Islam. During the course of her Islamic education, seeds of hatred toward other faiths and sects, particularly Hinduism, were sown within her. She explains that, eventually, thanks to the sincere efforts of her parents, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Arsha Vidya Samajam, she was able to return to her original faith.

PFI Banned; Jihadi Organisations Become Active Under New Aliases

Although the Modi-led Central Government has banned several organisations, such as the Popular Front of India (PFI), these groups appear to remain active, engaging in Islamic conversion activities under various new names. A thorough investigation into all these cases will lead to this conclusion, as also suggested by Sajjad Nomani. According to him, Muslims should sow discord among Hindus, specifically by singling out groups such as Jats, Gurjars, Dalits, OBCs, Lingayats, etc. and subsequently forge political alliances with them. Muslims should make compromises and steer this strategy from behind the scenes. He also indicates that Muslim organisations are already actively working on this.

The Challenge Facing Non-Muslim Communities

In reality, a grave crisis confronts all non-Muslims residing in India today, including Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists and others: how can they protect themselves from this organised “Conversion Jihad” being perpetrated by Islam? This is because concerted efforts are being undertaken across multiple fronts and through various methods to achieve this objective. Numerous incidents occur daily across the country, behind which lies the unmistakable presence of a fully organised Islamic machinery.

They are operating according to a calculated plan; every day, they target non-Muslims, making victims of them through appeals to love, material inducements, intimidation, coercion, or by exploiting their personal vulnerabilities. Given this scenario, the crisis is exceedingly dire; for the time being, every Hindu and other non-Muslim must take it upon themselves to ensure their own safety against this alleged Islamic Jihad!
