The airline’s collapse into administration has grounded flights and left 41 employees jobless
An airline’s collapse into administration has grounded flights and left 41 employees jobless. UK chartered carrier Zenith Aviation Limited has stopped all operations, marking the end for a firm that was once a prominent name in private jet charter, aircraft management, and engineering services.
Paul Hargreaves, from Nexus Corporate Solutions Limited, has been appointed as administrator for the struggling company. He’s expressed cautious optimism that the business, which operated primarily from London Biggin Hill, might still be salvaged or sold on.
“I was appointed administrator of the company on May 15, 2026 by the director, and the company is in an insolvent position due to cashflow issues, debtors not paying, and historic ownership and management issues,” Mr Hargreaves explained.
He continued: “It is unfortunate for the company and the former employees, however, we are assessing the assets of the company, assisting employees with claiming their statutory redundancy entitlements, and looking at options to include potential rescue, or buyout should that be appropriate.
“At this time we are still assessing the company’s position, and evaluating the options”, reports the Irish Mirror.
Zenith Aviation Limited came under Opul Jets’ ownership early last year, though control was relinquished this past December. The takeover had encompassed the company’s UK-issued Air Operator Certificate, its registered aircraft fleet, and a fully certified maintenance facility.
