Digital Enforcement and Its Impact on Drivers

Delhi’s new system is completely technology-based. Challans will now be issued through cameras, automatic surveillance systems, and electronic monitoring. If a mobile number is linked, e-challans can be received within 3 days, while physical notices can take up to 15 days.

This means that violating traffic rules is becoming more difficult. Every challan will be saved in a digital record and linked to the vehicle owner’s details, making the entire history easily trackable.

The message for daily commuters is simple: outstanding challans are no longer just a late payment. Under the revised rules, they can impact license status, vehicle transactions, and overall compliance records, making timely action more crucial than ever.
