Pakistan set to make big squad changes for Australia ODI series

Pakistan are set to make several changes to their one-day international squad for the upcoming series against Australia, with final consultations on team selection now complete.

According to reports, Babar Azam is likely to return to the ODI setup after his stint in the ongoing Test series against Bangladesh. Fakhr Zaman, Sufyan Muqeem and Haneen Shah are also expected to earn call-ups to the squad.

On the other hand, Faheem Ashraf and Hussain Talat look set to lose out, with sources indicating both players are unlikely to retain their positions. Discussions over Mohammad Rizwan’s inclusion are still ongoing.

Australia arrives in Islamabad on May 23, with Pakistan beginning its preparations a day earlier as the team assembles in Rawalpindi on May 22 for training. A practice match is also scheduled ahead of the series.

The three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Australia will be played on May 30, June 2 and June 4.
