Vi Launches Prepaid Plan with Free PhysicsWallah Courses for JEE & NEET Students

Vi, formerly known as Vodafone Idea, has partnered with PhysicsWallah to launch what it describes as India’s first edtech-enabled prepaid recharge plan for students preparing for competitive exams.

The new offering, called Vi Edu+, combines mobile connectivity with access to premium educational content, allowing students to use both services through a single prepaid recharge without paying separately for online coaching subscriptions.

The company has initially rolled out the plan in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh East circles, with plans to gradually expand the service to more states across India.

Under the new offering, the Vi Edu+ pack is priced at Rs 375 in Rajasthan and Rs 409 in UP East. The recharge includes unlimited 4G and 5G data, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day, and 28 days of access to PW Pi Pro, the premium learning platform from PhysicsWallah.

The educational subscription validity has been aligned with the standard 28-day prepaid recharge cycle. Students purchasing the plan receive instant access to the Pi platform through the PhysicsWallah website or app.

PW Pi Pro offers a large educational content library covering classes from kindergarten to Class 12, along with preparation material for major competitive examinations such as JEE, NEET, UPSC, CUET, GATE, CSIR NET, Olympiads, and defence exams.

The platform also includes upskilling and career-oriented courses in areas including technology, finance, generative AI, design, and marketing.

According to the companies, students will get access to over 30,000 video lectures from experienced teachers, one-shot revision sessions, handwritten notes, AI-powered doubt solving, quizzes, mock tests, performance analytics, and both live and recorded classes.

One of the key features of the platform is offline download support, allowing students to continue studying even without constant internet access.

For Vi, the partnership reflects a broader strategy to offer value-added digital services beyond traditional telecom offerings as competition in India’s telecom sector intensifies.

Speaking about the initiative, Avneesh Khosla said the company aims to make quality education more accessible by integrating learning services directly into its connectivity products.

He added that the partnership with PhysicsWallah would help students, especially those in smaller towns and cities, access structured educational content in an affordable and convenient way.

Meanwhile, Prateek Maheshwari said the collaboration is focused on simplifying digital learning for students by combining mobile connectivity and educational resources into a single platform.

According to him, the initiative will help students stay focused on their academic goals while improving access to quality education for aspirants preparing for competitive examinations across India.

The partnership also strengthens PhysicsWallah’s reach into tier-2 and tier-3 cities, where demand for affordable online education and exam preparation continues to grow rapidly.
