The deputy chief minister, Brijesh Pathak inaugurated the ‘state-of-the-art’ new dialysis unit and three new modular operation theatres of Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences on Tuesday. While addressing the gathering, he said that the ‘One District – One Medical College’ scheme has given new wings to health services in Uttar Pradesh. He also participated in the ‘Teacher/Doctor Dialogue-2026’ and directly interacted with teachers and medical students. Lauding the Venkateshwara Group for providing excellent education, medical and health services to the people of Western UP for the last two and a half decades, he called upon other institutions operating in UP to contribute to national development. He further said that the construction of new AIIMS, up-gradation of postgraduate medical institutions and opening of new medical institutions have led to remarkable progress in UP’s healthcare services.
Speaking of the group’s objective, the chairman of the Venkateshwara group of institutions, Sudhir Giri said that they have been providing education and healthcare services for the past two and half years to help India become a developed nation by 2047.
