Washington, May 11:
US President Donald Trump has rejected Iran’s latest response to a US-backed proposal aimed at ending the ongoing conflict, calling it “totally unacceptable.”
Iran had sent its reply through mediators, outlining conditions including a broader end to hostilities, lifting of sanctions and guarantees related to regional security, but the US administration dismissed the terms outright.
Reports indicate that Tehran’s proposal also avoided addressing key US demands, particularly on its nuclear programme, which remains a central sticking point in negotiations.
