On the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and the People’s Republic of China, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the leadership and peoples of both brotherly nations.
Pakistan-China friendship is a remarkable example of enduring strategic cooperation, mutual trust and shared economic aspirations. Over the past seven and a half decades, both countries have strengthened bilateral relations across diverse sectors including trade, finance, infrastructure, technology, energy and industrial development.
China’s extraordinary economic transformation and global leadership in innovation and infrastructure development have provided valuable opportunities for regional growth and connectivity. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor stands as a landmark initiative that has significantly contributed toward Pakistan’s economic progress, investment climate and regional integration.
As an economist and representative of Pakistan’s financial sector, I believe that deeper cooperation between Pakistan and China in banking, capital markets, investment and technology-driven industries can further enhance economic stability and sustainable development in the region.
The strong economic partnership between our two countries continues to create opportunities for businesses, investors and future generations. I remain optimistic that Pakistan-China relations will continue to flourish and contribute positively toward regional prosperity.
I commend The Financial Daily for publishing this special supplement commemorating 75 years of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.
