Julia Fox seems to be pals with Betsey Johnson, and attended the Accessories Council Excellence Awards with her — which explains the particular exuberance of this outfit. It’s VERY “I’m Having a Throwback Prom Birthday Party,” which is how I imagine Betsey herself styles every moment of her own life. But, given that it’s the Accessories Council we’re discussing here, I am enthralled by the phone purse. It is a HOOT. I want that for myself, but as an ACTUAL PHONE. I want to call my family, my friends, the restaurant to confirm dinner. I want to call my pharmacy and get stuck on hold. I want to slam it down in a rage when, after an hour on the phone with my insurance company, they disconnect me by “accident.” Sigh. Life isn’t the same without landlines.
