SIMS Hospitals Launches 100-Bed Multi-Speciality Facility in Madhapur

A new 100-bed multi-speciality hospital was inaugurated by SIMS Hospitals in Madhapur, Hyderabad on Thursday, marking a significant addition to the city’s healthcare infrastructure. The facility aims to deliver advanced medical care with modern infrastructure and comprehensive emergency support systems accessible to patients across all socio-economic backgrounds.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of several distinguished personalities including former Special Chief Secretary Ajay Mishra, retired IAS officer B. Lakshmikantham, former Inspector General Sattar Umapathi, National BC Dal president Dundra Kumara Swamy, retired IRS officer and former Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax P. V. Rao, and retired IFS officer T. V. M. Rao.

Speaking at the event, dignitaries emphasised that health remains the greatest wealth despite economic progress and rising living standards. They stressed that hospitals must prioritise patient-centric care while ensuring both affordability and medical excellence for the wider community.

Dundra Kumara Swamy highlighted the social responsibility of healthcare institutions, stating that quality healthcare should not remain confined to a privileged few. “Among all forms of wealth, health remains the most important. Institutions that combine advanced technology, experienced doctors, and compassionate care can play a transformative role in society,” he said.

The newly launched facility has been equipped with advanced medical infrastructure including three modular operation theatres, specialised critical care units, ventilator support systems, and modern patient monitoring technology. The hospital also provides 24×7 emergency and ambulance services to handle urgent medical situations round the clock.

Medical Director Dr. Srinivas J outlined the range of services available at the facility, which include general medicine, general surgery, diabetes care, critical care medicine, anaesthesia and perioperative care, emergency and trauma care, neurosurgery, bariatric surgery, proctology, obstetrics, gynaecology, fertility care, and advanced diagnostic and imaging services.

The hospital has been designed with special focus on high-risk surgical management and critical care interventions, enabling it to handle trauma and emergency cases comprehensively under one roof. This integrated approach ensures patients receive coordinated care across multiple specialities without needing to visit different facilities.

Executive Director S. Kurma Rao explained the hospital’s core objective, stating that the institution aims to bring world-class healthcare closer to the community with emphasis on compassion, safety, quality, and patient-focused medical services.
