SBI Staff Strike: The country’s largest public sector bank, SBI, always prioritizes the convenience of its customers. On Friday, the bank issued an advisory for customers, explaining what they should do if they have banking-related work due to the two-day strike.

Bank Issues Advisory

A post was shared through the bank’s official x account, informing customers that efforts are being made to continue essential banking services at its branches during the strike. However, the bank advised customers to use alternative banking channels to minimize inconvenience.

The post reads, “Please note that the All India State Bank of India Staff Federation (AISBISF) has announced a two-day strike on May 25 and 26, 2026. We are making every effort to ensure that customers receive the necessary services at their branches.” Following this, the bank issued three key requests to customers:

  • Use ATMs/ADWMs if you need cash.
  • Use Customer Service Points (CSPs).
  • Prefer internet banking, YONO, mobile banking, UPI, and other digital platforms.
  • The bank subsequently apologized to customers for any inconvenience caused.

It should be noted that State Bank of India employees are going on a two-day strike on May 25 and 26. May 23 and 24 are Saturday and Sunday, and the bank also has a holiday for Eid. Consequently, SBI will remain closed for a full six days. If you have any work related to the branch, then get it done beforehand.
