High street retailer Next has reduced the price of a mini shirt dress shoppers have described as ‘very flattering’ and ‘comfy’.
The Black/White Check Mini Long Sleeve Tie Waist Shirt Dress was €50.50 but is now reduced to €20 online as part of the retailer’s clearance sale. At time of writing, the dress is in stock in sizes 4-26. There’s also a grey leopard print option (€23), although some sizes in this print are sold out currently, and burgundy red spot (€25) in sizes 18-26.
The product description on the Next website states: “Achieve polished, sophisticated workwear with this smart mini shirt dress. Featuring an eye-catching abstract black and white print and a flattering self-fabric tie waist, it cinches the silhouette beautifully. The 3/4 button-down placket and cuffed long sleeves make it an ideal choice for formal office and day-to-night style.”

Next’s Mini Long Sleeve Tie Waist Shirt Dress has received an overall rating of 4.6 out of five from 30 customer reviews.
One happy shopper said: “I just simply love this dress. True to size, elegant and comfortable. Got compliments from family and friends.”
A second added: “Lovely, very flattering.” A third said: “It’s a perfect fit and really flattering. I wear it with leggings and boots rather than as a dress.”
“Absolutely thrilled with this dress it’s true to size and is so comfortable”, wrote another.
However, not everyone was happy with their purchase. One shopper said: “Dress is super thick like wearing a curtain and it’s a strange fit. Also came in a ridiculous amount of packaging. Wouldn’t recommend.”
Another described it as a “nice dress” but noted that it was “a bit bigger than expected”.
But a different buyer said in a five-star review: “Lovely quality. This dress looks good on. Very comfortable. Very pleased with my purchase.”
