Maura’s US career started out hosting Love Island USA: Aftersun, but she is now being inundated with work opportunities

Maura Higgins has confirmed she is leaving Love Island USA after three years.
The TV personality revealed she is ready for a fresh start after three years spent hosting spin-off show Love Island USA: Aftersun.
Maura, from Longford, has seen her career go from strength to strength in America after competing in the US version of The Traitors.
And now, it seems she is ready for new opportunities.
When asked if fans will see her back on screens this summer, Maura told Vulture: “You won’t. I’ve done it for three years, and they’ll always be family to me, but I think it’s time to try something different.
“I’ve got amazing opportunities coming in the door.
“I think it’s time to say goodbye. But you know what? I won’t say forever.
“I’ll still be watching from afar and I love them and miss them. It’s just time to move on.”
The 35-year-old’s departure from the show comes after she finished as runner-up on The US Traitors.
Later this year, she will take part on Dancing With The Stars in America as her profile continues to rise.
Maura rose to fame as a contestant on the fifth series of Love Island back in 2019, where she coupled up with Curtis Pritchard and reached the final.
No stranger to reality television, in 2020 she competed on Dancing On Ice and in 2024 she became a firm fan favourite on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
Earlier this year, Maura was tipped to be taking part in another hugely popular US reality show, The Bachelorette.
However, the TV star was quick to shut down the rumours.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Maura said: “Absolutely not. Come on guys, I’m 35!
“Do you know what? I’m so happy.
“I don’t want a man. I don’t want anyone in my space.
“I like to come home to my beautiful, clean house. I don’t have to pick up their s**t. I don’t actually have time anyway.”
