During a special Radio Pakistan podcast on the occasion of Marka-e-Haq’s first anniversary on Sunday, the Federal Information Secretary lauded the Armed Forces and national leadership, highlighting Pakistan’s strengthened media credibility and narrative resilience during the landmark event.
He also paid tribute to the leadership and the armed forces for their decisive role and unwavering
commitment.
The Secretary Information further lauded the Pakistani mainstream media for building strong global credibility through accurate, factual and responsible dissemination of information. He said that national media effectively countered hostile narratives by responding with verified, evidence-based reporting.
He noted that widespread disinformation propagated through Indian media was systematically exposed and neutralized through Pakistan’s credible journalistic response, ensuring factual clarity at the international
level.
The Secretary also highlighted the close coordination between the ISPR and the Ministry of Information, stating that a strict verification process was followed and no news was released without full authentication to maintain accuracy and trust.
Ashfaq Ahmed Khalil further cautioned that fake news remained a serious challenge in the digital era, urging all social media users to act with responsibility and restraint, particularly during sensitive and conflict-related situations.
He concluded with pride, noting that national media channels have consistently echoed Pakistan’s narrative with responsibility and credibility, strengthening the country’s voice at the global level.
