GUJRAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 23rd May, 2026) A man was found dead in a locked room in the Zafar Plaza Chowk area on Kashmir Road in Gujrat,police and rescue officials said on Saturday.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, the deceased was identified as Faizan Umar(27) r/o Alipur Chatha, who worked as an OTA at Umar Bashir Hospital.
Officials said the incident came to light after the victim failed to report for duty.
Concerned colleagues later went to check on him at his flat and found the room locked from inside.They subsequently informed Rescue 1122.
Rescue personnel reached the spot and entered the room after breaking a window.
The man was found unconscious inside the flat.
Rescuers confirmed that he had no vital signs and that his body had become stiff.
Police and Rescue 1122 teams remained present at the scene while further investigation into the incident was underway.
