Lee Andrews has been declared a ‘missing person’
The whereabouts of Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews have reportedly emerged after going ‘missing.’ Lee, 43, is said to have disappeared after he failed to fly to the UK to appear with Katie on Good Morning Britain last week.
Then followed fears that Lee had been kidnapped, with Katie, 47, filing a missing person’s report for him. But it has now been reported that Lee is actually nowhere near being held hostage. Instead, it has now been claimed he has left his lavish penthouse and is currently staying in much less comfortable digs, Daily Star reports.
According to the Sun, it is claimed he has not been detained either, but is instead “squatting” in a slightly run-down villa. He is said to be “liaising with his few trusted contacts”.
The claims follow reports that Lee is now considered to be a missing person after he has not given any information to a worried Katie in nearly a week. An official report has now been lodged by Lee’s family at the British Embassy in Dubai.
The businessman was last seen at Dubai Airport last week when he was due to fly to the UK to support Katie on the ITV morning show. Good Morning Britain had said they were told by the Foreign Office they were “supporting a British man detained in the United Arab Emirates”.
But, after police could not find any record of him being arrested, Katie said he was a “missing person”. Lee has not been seen nor heard of since.
Lee is also believed to be under a travel ban in the United Arab Emirates, although Lee has consistently denied this. Katie has also backed Lee, saying that he is not subject to a travel ban − rather he will come to the UK “when he needs to”.
Many of Katie’s pals, including her own sister Sophie have admitted they do not want to deal with Lee. In an explosive episode of her podcast, Katie was told by Sophie: “We’re not going to argue about this, we’re not, it’s not worth it.
“However, I just feel like he’s massively mugging you off and he’s done it publicly on live TV.” Katie herself admitted she was starting to get frustrated that he was not flying to the UK, adding that the GMB incident made her “look like a d***”.
The Daily Star has reached out to Lee and Katie’s representatives for comment.
