Hotel manager held for rape as police recover survivor’s kidnapped newborn

Rawalpindi police have arrested a hotel manager and his female accomplice following a report from a woman who alleged that she was subjected to repeated sexual assault and the kidnapping of her newborn child.

The survivor, a resident of Vehari, moved to Rawalpindi nine years ago to work alongside her father. After her father returned to their native town, she remained in a hotel in the Pirwadhai area.

According to the FIR [First Information Report], the hotel manager and a woman locked the survivor in a room and facilitated her rape by an unidentified individual.

The woman stated that the suspects threatened her when she attempted to contact her family. She alleged that under the direction of the manager and his accomplice, multiple men raped her over a period of time, leading to a pregnancy.

She eventually gave birth to a daughter at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Rawalpindi.

Upon returning to Pirwadhai after the delivery, the survivor claimed the suspects forcibly took the infant. “The hotel manager and the woman snatched the child from me and threatened both me and my child with dire consequences,” she stated in the FIR.

She further alleged that the manager later raped her himself and prepared a fake stamp paper without her knowledge.

The survivor told police that out of fear for her life and the safety of her daughter, she initially did not take legal action.

Seven months ago, she married a man who promised to help her recover and raise the child. This led her to approach the police station to seek legal proceedings against the suspects.

City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani took notice of the matter, leading to the registration of a case involving charges of rape, child kidnapping, cheating, and forced prostitution.

A police spokesperson confirmed the arrest of the manager and his accomplice, stating that the kidnapped newborn has been recovered. Authorities are currently conducting raids to apprehend other individuals involved in the case.
