Former chief minister of Uttarakhand and former Union cabinet minister Major General (retd) Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri passed away on Tuesday.
He was 91 years old and was hospitalized for some time.
Khanduri served as CM of Uttarakhand from March 2007 to June 2009 and September 2011 to March 2012.
He was union minister of Surface Transport in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed deep grief over Khanduri’s death. His contribution to Uttarakhand’s development and good governance would always be remembered, He said.
