Forbidden Fruit returns to Royal Hospital Kilmainham this June Bank Holiday weekend for two days on sensational live music – if you’re heading along, here’s what you need to know

Forbidden Fruit returns to the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham this June bank holiday weekend for two days of electronic, hip hop and alternative music across five stages.

This year’s headliners are Kaytranada, Nia Archives, Kettama and Joy Crookes. The popular festival is officially sold out.

The festival takes place on the grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin, and we have all of the information you need to know if you’re heading along.

Dates and times

Forbidden Fruit takes place on Saturday, the 30th and Sunday, the 31st of May. Gates open at 2 pm, with last entry permitted at 9 pm. The last act finishes at 10.45 pm.

Age policy

Forbidden Fruit is strictly an 18+ event, and valid photo ID is required.

Getting there

By Foot

Pedestrian access is via East Gate, Military Road, Dublin 8.

By Car

There is no parking at the venue. Traffic Restrictions will be in place on Military Road and Kilmainham Lane. The nearest public car park is Park Rite Parking Lot at 7 Queen Street, Dublin 7. Also check www.parkrite.ie for other car park options.

By Bus

You can reach IMMA by taking a bus (145 or C-Spine buses C1,2,3,4) to Heuston Station and then walking 8 minutes to IMMA via the Military Road gate or by taking a bus (13, 73, G-Spine G1,2) to St. James’s Hospital, which is also an 8-minute walk via steps to Bow Lane onto Irwin St. and then Military Rd.

By Train

Heuston Station is a 5-minute walk to the venue. Please check timetables here: www.irishrail.ie.

By Luas

Take the Red Line from The Point towards Saggart/Tallaght exit to Heuston Station, and it is a 5-minute walk to the East Gate entrance via Military Road. Please check the timetable here: www.luas.ie.

How to pay

This is a cashless event, card or phone payments only. Add your ticket to your phone wallet before you arrive. There is no re-entry – day tickets are scanned once per day.
