Fair City’s Orla Molloy rekindles flame with ex in bid to make Rafferty jealous

Spoilers ahead: Orla insists Rafferty blew his chance with her, JJ is uneasy with all of the Buckley drama, and Fergal figures out he holds the power over Melanie

On Friday night’s Fair City, Emma scolds Rafferty for his behaviour on his date with Orla.

Rafferty apologises to an irked Orla, but she dismisses him and cosies up to Lenny in attempt to make him jealous.

Orla plans to meet Lenny that night, insisting to Kira that Rafferty blew his chance with her.

Elsewhere in Carrigstown, JJ assures Carol that he’ll make all the business with Buckley go away, but is secretly uneasy.

Ger warns JJ that Buckley has made her a generous offer so he better pay up to keep her quiet.

JJ refuses to give in.

JJ tells Carol he will shut down Buckley but needs to get to Ger first.

JJ tries to get Ger to conspire with him on a plan to trick Buckley with a bogus raid on one of his bookies and get him off their trail, but Ger tells him it’s too late and she should have given her the money.

Meanwhile, Fergal decides to head to the smart office to work to spite Melanie for telling him to be careful with the documents.

Melanie is perturbed and tells Fergal they’re now even and he can stop working, but Fergal reveals he’s enjoying the work and intends to keep going with it. When Claire spots Fergal’s research, Melanie takes credit for it and Claire is impressed.

Fergal figures out that Melanie hasn’t told Claire that he’s working for them and is delighted to hold the power again, especially when he overhears Claire giving Melanie a cash bonus for her good work.

Fergal tells Melanie she needs to give him the cash if she wants him to keep working and not spill to Claire.

When Dolores needs even more cover in the salon, Lily offers Georgie more of her tips to keep up.

Georgie is put out when Dolores buys Lily a drink to thank her and Lily keeps quiet about Georgie’s help.
