Bandi Bhageerath Arrest Delayed Due to PM Modi’s Hyderabad Security Arrangements

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed Director General of Police C. V. Anand to immediately commence investigation into the case registered against Bandi Bhageerath, son of BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar, at Pet Basheerabad Police Station. The Chief Minister expressed concern over the delay in police action despite the complaint being filed on May 8, questioning why no immediate steps were taken in the matter.

During the meeting, DGP C. V. Anand briefed the Chief Minister on the case details and explained that the delay in action was primarily due to the police force being extensively engaged in security arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Hyderabad. The DGP informed that the entire police machinery was focused on ensuring comprehensive security protocols during the high-profile visit, which affected the timeline of other investigations.

The Chief Minister has now instructed the DGP to constitute special investigation teams for a thorough and comprehensive probe into the case registered against Bandi Bhageerath. The directive emphasizes the need for swift action without further delays, ensuring that the investigation proceeds on priority despite other operational commitments of the police department.

The case registered at Pet Basheerabad Police Station has now been placed under special focus, with dedicated teams expected to be formed shortly. The DGP has assured the Chief Minister that the investigation will be conducted comprehensively, with all necessary resources being allocated to the special teams assigned to handle the matter.
