LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th May, 2026) Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) here Tuesday held a video-link meeting with representatives of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) to discuss measures aimed at improving the tax system and facilitating the business community.
PRA Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra listened to various tax-related issues and concerns faced by industrialists and exporters in Sialkot.
During the meeting, the SCCI President and other members presented a number of proposals for further simplifying the tax payment system and enhancing ease of doing business.
The PRA Chairman reaffirmed Punjab Government’s commitment to resolve issues of the business community on a priority basis. He stated that facilitating taxpayers and creating a business-friendly environment remain among the government’s key priorities.
Moazzam Iqbal Sipra emphasized that mutual cooperation between the PRA and the business community is vital for economic stability, broadening the tax net and promoting exports. He assured the participants that PRA would continue to take practical steps to simplify tax procedures and improve service delivery.
Sialkot Chamber’s President assured Punjab Revenue Authority of full cooperation in its efforts aimed at expanding the tax base and strengthening tax compliance.
Member Legal PRA, Commissioner PRA Gujranwala and Director Policy also participated in the meeting. Both sides agreed to further enhance coordination and institutional collaboration between the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Punjab Revenue Authority.
