Spoilers ahead: Holly’s past comes back to haunt her as she loses out on a job as a result while elsewhere Ray and Nora agree that Dean should pull his weight around the house
On Sunday night’s Fair City, Holly loses out on a job with Emma’s associate after they find out details of her past.
Orla worries about what could be going on between Claire and Rafferty, but Kira reminds her that Rafferty is flirty with everyone. Holly is amused when she sees Claire and Rafferty squabbling, and Claire reveals to her that Rafferty is just a client and she doesn’t like him. Orla is delighted when Holly reports back to her on Claire.
Emma gets a call from her associate that Holly interviewed with who reveals that they called Rafferty’s HR for a reference. Holly is horrified when she discovers that they heard about her case against Ian and her past as a sugar baby and will not hire her as a result.
Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Lorcan sulks around the house and Carol tells JJ he needs to talk to him again and clear things up. Lorcan presses Nora to tell him more about JJ, but she warns him to let it go. JJ speaks to Lorcan and admits he has a criminal record for stealing a car as a teenager, but he was scared straight in prison. JJ assures Lorcan that now he knows the truth, so stop giving Carol a hard time. Lorcan meekly apologises to Carol for not believing her when she told him that JJ isn’t a criminal.
Ray and Nora agree they should ask Leo to tell Dean to pull his weight while he’s staying in their house. Leo argues it’s only temporary, but Nora and Ray insist he should contribute to bills and chores. Leo tries to broach the subject with Dean, but Dean has to leave for work before Leo can get through to him. Nora and Ray are disappointed when Dean turns up with some leftovers for dinner from Hot Pots to repay them.
Meanwhile, Alex is taken aback when Síofra turns up to Brewzers and announces that Cristiano has hired her as co-manager. Alex is tetchy with Síofra’s assertiveness as new manager, but Ellie warns him to be thankful he has the help.
Alex is irked when Ben piles on the praise for Síofra’s coffee making skills. Ben and Ellie tease Alex about Síofra taking over Brewzers.
