Iranian President’s first meeting with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei

Iranian President Masoud Pazishkian has confirmed that he recently had a one-on-one meeting with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.

According to the international news agency, this is the first public meeting with any figure since Mojtaba Khamenei was elected Iran’s supreme leader in March.

According to Iranian state media, President Masoud Pazishkian said that the meeting with the Supreme Leader lasted for about two and a half hours. During which his behavior was very friendly, confident and humble.

President Masoud Pazishkian added that Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s style of conversation and behavior transformed the meeting into an atmosphere of direct dialogue, trust and harmony. He appeared determined and dynamic.

This statement came at a time when conflicting claims have emerged regarding the health and life of Iran’s new Supreme Leader.

US Secretary of Defense Pat Hegseth had also said that his son and current Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei were also injured in the Israeli attack on February 29 that killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and their whereabouts are still unknown.

Iranian officials had also claimed that the new Supreme Leader had injured his leg but was recovering rapidly and was conducting state affairs with full consciousness.

However, since being elected as the new Supreme Leader in March, Mojtaba Khamenei has not been seen anywhere, nor has any video or recent photo of him emerged. All of the Supreme Leader’s statements so far have been read out on state TV.

Some reports also claimed that many key Iranian government officials do not have access to Mojtaba Khamenei and that senior commanders of the Revolutionary Guards have established a tight security cordon around him.
