A ‘comfy’ midi dress from Next is being snapped up by shoppers for warmer weather and holidays, with some fashion fans so pleased with their purchase that they’ve bought more than one.
The Jersey Button Down Midi Dress is priced from €28 to €32.50 and is available in aqua green, black/white palm print, and blue stripe.
The product description on the Next website reads: “Made from a pure cotton jersey fabric, this midi-length dress features button detailing to the front, thin shoulder straps and a v-shaped neckline.”

Meanwhile, the Jersey Ribbed Midi Drop Waist Dress in navy is €36 at Marks & Spencer and is marked as ‘in demand’ on the retailer’s website.

The Next dress has received a 4.7 out of five star rating based on 138 customer reviews. One happy shopper said: “Bought for holiday this year. Exactly what I wanted. Lovely fit and right length.”
A second added: “This is a lovely dress not just the colour but also the fabric and fit. As a short person I love the fact that a lot of Next dresses come in petite, this one is a perfect fit for me and true to size.”
“The dress is ideal for the sunny days”, penned a third. A different customer said: “Love this dress. Fit is great and the colour is lovely. I haven’t worn it yet but will be well used when I am on holiday.”
Another five-star review reads: “I bought it for my holiday but it’s been so warm I’ve worn it now, it’s so comfy easy to wash drys quickly and easy to iron, if there were different colours I would get them.”
However, not everyone was won over by the dress. One customer noted: “Nice dress but the pockets stick out and so the dress doesn’t sit properly.”
Another added: “I loved the colour and quality but the fit wasn’t right, 1 pocket didn’t sit right so shape off and tried 3.”
But a different shopper was pleased with their recent purchase and said: “I bought this dress for the summer months and holidays. Beautiful colour, great shape and easy to wear. Good value for money too!”
