WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump said the United States is going through a “golden era” in its history while asserting that Iran “has no chance” during remarks at the White House.
The US president made the comments while addressing the media, highlighting what he described as America’s strong position and dismissing Iran’s prospects amid ongoing tensions.
Trump claimed that Iran is in a weakened position, asserting that it has “no chance” and is fully aware of its limitations when engaging with the United States.
He further alleged that Iran lacks effective air power, naval strength, and leadership.
The US president also stated that Iran’s naval capabilities have been “completely destroyed,” while reiterating that Washington would not allow Tehran to acquire nuclear weapons, warning that such a development would pose a serious global threat.
Highlighting his foreign policy record, Trump said no other leader had succeeded in ending as many as eight wars, claiming credit for de-escalating multiple conflicts. He also asserted that he played a role in ending tensions between Pakistan and India.
He said it was stated that Donald Trump does not deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, while defending his administration’s actions against Iran during remarks at the White House.
Trump claimed that without deploying B-2 bombers, Iran could have become a nuclear power within weeks.
He warned that if Tehran had acquired nuclear weapons, the consequences would have been severe, stating that the region, including Israel, could have faced devastating outcomes.
The US president added that under such circumstances, “we would not be here today,” emphasizing what he described as the seriousness of the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
