Gujarat Technological University (GTU), through its innovation arm GTU Ventures in collaboration with the GTU School of Management Studies (GSMS), successfully organized the National Innovation PitchFest – IDEATHON 2026 (4th Edition) at the GTU Chandkheda campus on the occasion of World Creativity and Innovation Day. The event was held under the theme “Innovate for a Sustainable Future”, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 53 teams and a total of 132 students and entrepreneurs, who presented innovative and impactful projects across domains such as AI/ML, FinTech, AgriTech, Sustainability, and Cybersecurity. Winners were recognized under the Startup Category, Student Innovator Category, and Consolation Awards.
As part of the program, an “Idea Launch Leap” workshop was conducted by Sendhil Rajan, who shared insights on idea validation and startup scaling. This was followed by a special panel session on “From Pitch to Impact”, where Shark Tank-featured entrepreneurs— Mitesh Shethwala, Chintan Shah, Nupur Kumari, Anant Tomar, and Arpan Kalotra—inspired young innovators by sharing their experiences.
Additionally, distinguished leaders from the startup ecosystem, Bhavin Bhagat (Past President, TiE Ahmedabad) and Milapsinh Jadeja (Founder, I-Roller Capitals), delivered insightful addresses, which were a key highlight of the event.
