SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 23rd May, 2026) A meeting of the Divisional Bird Hazard Control Committee under the chairmanship of Commissioner
Hafiz Shaukat Ali was held in which various issues related to the hazards arising from the presence
of birds around airports and sensitive areas and their remediation were reviewed in detail.
Officers of the relevant departments attended the meeting, while a briefing was given on the ongoing measures to reduce the risks of bird hazard, cleanliness situation, solid waste management, system for disposing of waste and garbage in slaughterhouses and open places.
Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali directed that the cleanliness arrangements near the airspace should be further improved and effective steps should be taken to eliminate such factors that lead to the arrival of birds. He also directed the relevant agencies to make mutual communication more effective and to continue the ongoing monitoring regarding bird hazard control on a regular basis.
