The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana conducted extensive raids at the premises of a Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) General Manager in connection with a disproportionate assets case. The searches were carried out at multiple locations including Mallapur, Secunderabad, and other areas in Hyderabad. The raids are part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of corruption and accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income.
During the course of the searches, ACB officials recovered ₹1.05 crore in cash from the premises. In addition to the substantial cash seizure, investigators discovered a large quantity of gold and silver items along with several property documents. The officials have been meticulously documenting all the seized items and materials found during the operation.
The exact value of the gold, silver items, and properties identified during the raids is yet to be ascertained by the investigating authorities. ACB teams are currently in the process of evaluating and assessing the total worth of all assets discovered. The property documents found are being examined to determine the extent of holdings and their correlation with the official’s known sources of income.
The raids at the HMWSSB General Manager’s premises are still continuing as officials conduct thorough searches and documentation. The Anti-Corruption Bureau has deployed multiple teams to ensure comprehensive investigation at all identified locations. Further details regarding the case are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses and the assessment of seized assets is completed.
