MANSEHRA: A grand and dignified ceremony was organized by the Department of Pakistan Studies at University of Mansehra to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations. The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Ikram Ullah, as the chief guest, whose presence added prestige and significance to the occasion.
Students from the 6th, 7th, and 8th semesters of the Department of Pakistan Studies played an active and enthusiastic role in organizing the ceremony. As the students are currently studying a special course on Pakistan-China relations, their dedication, interest, and hard work were clearly reflected throughout the event. The ceremony highlighted the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, their historic diplomatic ties, and the growing educational and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
Speakers at the event emphasized that Pakistan-China relations have become even stronger over the past few years, with increasing collaboration in the fields of education, research, and cultural exchange.
Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Ikram Ullah shed light on the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China, its importance for regional stability, and the evolving role of both countries in the changing global landscape. He stated that China has always stood by Pakistan during difficult times and that the bilateral relationship continues to grow stronger with the passage of time.
He also appreciated the hard work of the students and praised the excellent arrangements made for the event. Furthermore, he extended special congratulations to Madam Ayesha Alam, Chairperson of the Department of Pakistan Studies, and described such academic and cultural activities as highly important for the intellectual and moral development of the younger generation.
The ceremony also featured colorful cultural performances, including national songs, speeches, and various cultural presentations by students to pay tribute to the enduring Pakistan-China friendship. The audience highly appreciated the students’ performances and enthusiasm.
At the conclusion of the event, the Department of Pakistan Studies expressed gratitude to the chief guest and all participants and reaffirmed its commitment to continuing such academic and cultural activities in the future to further strengthen Pakistan-China relations.
