Irish chef Clodagh McKenna has shared her joy as she announces ‘The most exciting moment of my career’ with husband Harry Herbert sharing his pride for his wife
Clodagh McKenna has shared her joy and gratitude as she revealed she is preparing to kick off ‘the most exciting moment of her career’.
The Irish chef will be hosting her very own TV series, as she confirmed it would be airing later this year.
The Irish chef’s husband, Harry Herbert, was among the first to congratulate her, admitting he was ‘the proudest husband in the world’.
Taking to Instagram, Clodagh told her followers: “I am beyond thrilled to be able to share some incredible news with you today – this is the most exciting moment of my career…I have a new TV series! – which is called Clodagh: Cooking at Home – and it will be airing this October on ITV!”
She added: “I can’t wait to bring you into my home and my kitchen, where I’ll demonstrate the recipes that I love to cook; from a cosy supper with Harry, to a laidback lunch with friends or for some bigger party occasions.”
“I’ll be sharing all the tips and tricks I’ve learnt over the years – with inspiring ideas to take out some of the stress of entertaining – so we can make it even more fun!”
She also revealed viewers would get a glimpse into her family home, sharing, “I also can’t wait to show you our little farm @broadspear with our gorgeous hens, the pigs in the woods, the ducks and the delicious produce from our vegetable garden – and even my pickling shed, which will all feature throughout the series.
“Over the years, you’ve welcomed me into your kitchens, your homes, your lives, and you’ve supported me in ways I’ll never fully be able to put into words.’
‘You’ve been my cheerleaders from the very beginning, and so this moment is as much yours as it is mine”
“Thank you, truly, for being part of this journey. I wouldn’t be making this announcement today without you. And a special thank you as well to @itv and @oceaniacruises for supporting this series.”
Reacting to the news, Clodagh’s husband, Harry, shared his pride in his wife as he quickly rushed to be the first to comment, writing: ‘The proudest husband in the world!! Many congratulations, my darling Clo!’
Originally from Blackrock, Clodagh now lives in a 300-year-old cottage with Harry running Broad Spear farm on the grounds of Highclere Castle in Hampshire, together with her husband Harry, dogs Alfie and Nolly, 10 hens, three ducks, three pigs and five Aberdeen Angus cattle.
In the past four years, they have restored a one-acre, 18th-century walled vegetable and fruit garden, set up five working beehives, an orchard, a pickling and fermenting shed, and built the most idyllic forest bar in the land, with viewers getting a glimpse of the incredible set up on the latest series of Dermot Bannon’s Celebrity Super Spaces
