Balochistan Police Intensify Province-wide Crackdown, Arrest Hundreds Of Suspects In April – UrduPoint

QUETTA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 2nd May, 2026) The Balochistan Police has launched an extensive campaign across the province, including Quetta and seven ranges, targeting absconders, fugitives, and wanted criminals.
According to the police spokesperson, the initiative aims to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property while creating a peaceful, crime-free environment.
Under the directives of Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir, the special campaign continued throughout April. During this period, police arrested 109 drug dealers involved in narcotics cases. Seized items included 168.889 kilograms of cannabis, 20.765 kilograms of crystal meth (ice), 15 parcels of dried hemp, 164.490 kilograms of opium, 80 grams of crystal, 377 beer cans, and 319 bottles of liquor.
In addition, 100 wanted suspects linked to motorcycle and vehicle theft, mobile snatching, robbery, and other crimes were apprehended.
Authorities confiscated 87 pistols and revolvers, six Kalashnikov rifles, three shotguns, 384 rounds of ammunition, and 40 magazines. The campaign also led to the arrest of 66 proclaimed offenders, 384 fugitives, and 1,004 suspects involved in various crimes.
Police reported successful operations against kidnapping-for-ransom cases, with three abducted individuals safely recovered. Stolen property recovered included six vehicles, 15 motorcycles, and 91 mobile phones. Under Section 411, 25 vehicles and motorcycles were seized. Additionally, 1,996 liters of petrol and 7,410 liters of diesel were confiscated, while tinted glass was removed from 2,380 vehicles.
The spokesperson emphasized that the campaign is designed to prevent criminals from relocating and hiding in different areas. Data on arrested offenders is being shared with police departments in other provinces, and investigations into potential criminal records are ongoing.
