Irish womens fashion retailer Oxendales announces closure after 60 years in business


Irish online retailer Oxendales has announced it will be closing their online store after decades of business, the retailer announced the closure earlier today

Ireland’s longest running online retailer has announced it will be closing down via social media today, which catered to Irish women’s fashion.

Based in Santry, Dublin 17, Oxendales was home to many familiar brands, such as Monsoon and and Mango and had been in business for 60 years where it started out in catalogues.

In an Instagram post, they attached a photo of a model with ‘We’re closing down’ written across it.

The caption of the post reads: ‘We’re closing down.

‘We have taken the decision to cease trading and will be closing the business in due course. Our app is no longer available. ‘If you wish to make a payment or manage your account please log into ‘My Account’ at www.oxendales.ie or www.simplybe.ie. For everything else you need to know, please see our FAQs via the link in our bio. ‘Thank you for shopping with us.’

This news comes just a week after Born Clothing announced they would be closing their stores after 16 years in business. They had 15 stores nationwide which are now all shut up, with many of their products getting reduced to sale.
