Spoilers ahead: Rafferty is in for a big shock when he finds out Holly is suing him, Lorcan gets spooked when he covers JJ in the bookies and Ellie has a warning for Alex
Fair City – Claire and Rafferty
On Thursday night’s Fair City, Orla is delighted when Rafferty invites her for dinner.
But Rafferty is stunned when he finds out that Holly is suing him for damaging her professional reputation.
Rafferty confronts Holly, but she points out that Ian still works for him after everything he did to her, and she knows her rights.
Rafferty is shocked when Emma supports Holly in her case.
Holly and Emma tell Rafferty that if he apologises and gives Holly a glowing reference, she will drop the case.
However, Holly changes her mind when Rafferty accuses her of being greedy and announces that she will win her case against him.
Elsewhere in Carrigstown, JJ gets Lorcan to cover in the bookies.
Carol is unsure, but JJ assures her it’s the best way for Lorcan to see that he’s not a criminal. However Lorcan becomes paranoid, fearful someone could be casing the place or that undercover garda could be hovering.
Despite Nora trying to calm him, he calls JJ to come in.
JJ is miffed when he turns up and sees that Lorcan is just being anxious, and nothing is out of the ordinary.
Carol teases Lorcan for being spooked, but when he declares that he would have taken on undercover guards, Carol becomes angry.
Carol warns him never to get mixed up in any criminal business.
Lorcan is taken off guard by her emotion and storms out.
Plus, Alex frets when Síofra is due to open Brewzers on her own for the first time, while Ellie implores him to trust her.
Alex gets even more tense when Síofra starts to implement new changes, and Ben continues to poke fun that her coffee is better than Alex’s.
Not wanting to be outdone by Síofra staying later than him, Alex skips out on a book launch he was meant to attend with Ellie to work longer.
Ellie is annoyed when she discovers there was no emergency in Brewzers and warns Alex to end his childish feud with Síofra.
