
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed warm regards to his counterpart, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, reaffirming the strong fraternal bonds between the two nations, his office said on Tuesday.
Both leaders emphasized their shared commitment to further strengthen cooperation in key sectors, including trade, investment, energy, and people-to-people ties.
The PM Shehbaz extended his best wishes for the success of the World Urban Forum, which will take place next week in Baku.
He expressed confidence that under President Aliyev’s leadership, the Forum would significantly contribute to advancing the global urban development agenda.
The Pakistani President assured President Aliyev that Pakistan would have strong representation at the event.
Additionally, both leaders engaged in discussions on the ongoing peace efforts in the Middle East.
The Pakistani President thanked President Aliyev for his supportive words regarding Pakistan’s contributions toward peace, dialogue, and diplomacy in the region.
