Mekr , a fast-growing consumer electronics design and manufacturing startup, has raised Rs 67 crore ($7 million) in a Series A funding round led by Avaana Capital with participation from Titan Capital Winners Fund.
The startup plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its research and development capabilities, expand manufacturing automation, localise supplier networks, improve quality systems, and increase exports.
Founded in 2022 by Anand Yadav and Gaurang Kuchhal, Mekr operates as a full-stack design and manufacturing platform for consumer appliance brands.
The company provides end-to-end services that cover every stage of product development, including product design, prototyping, tooling, certification, and large-scale manufacturing.
Mekr currently works across multiple product categories such as home appliances, kitchen appliances, personal care products, and automotive accessories.
According to the company, it has already developed more than 100 SKUs and partnered with over 40 brands, including Croma, Wipro, Amazon Basics, and Flipkart.
The startup focuses on modular engineering systems and advanced manufacturing technologies. Its capabilities include BLDC motor systems, heating systems, load cells, and in-house mould design solutions aimed at improving efficiency and scalability for appliance brands.
With India’s consumer electronics and appliance manufacturing sector growing rapidly, Mekr is positioning itself as a technology-driven manufacturing partner for both domestic and global brands looking for scalable and localised production capabilities.
The funding also highlights increasing investor interest in India’s manufacturing ecosystem as startups focus on strengthening supply chains, reducing import dependence, and expanding exports under the country’s growing electronics manufacturing push.
