
United Nations Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy for the Middle East Conflict, Jean Arnault, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday and discussed the evolving regional situation, the Foreign Office said.
During the meeting, the UN envoy conveyed the UN Secretary-General’s appreciation for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region. He also reaffirmed the United Nations’ continued support for these efforts.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister shared Pakistan’s perspective on recent regional developments and highlighted Islamabad’s ongoing diplomatic engagement with relevant stakeholders.
He underscored Pakistan’s continued efforts to contribute to regional stability through dialogue and constructive engagement.
Senator Dar also expressed gratitude to the UN Secretary-General for his continued attention to regional issues and his longstanding support for Pakistan.
Both sides agreed on the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement and coordinated efforts to address regional challenges and promote lasting peace.
