Dehradun district magistrate Savin Bansal inaugurated the upgraded National Informatics Centre (NIC) office here on Saturday. Officials said the renovation was carried out to make the office more organised, technology friendly and efficient.
Officials said that under the renovation work, better workspaces, modern equipment and required facilities have been provided for officers, technical staff and operators.The new setup will help employees work more comfortably and improve the quality of digital services.
Bansal said NIC is an important part of the government’s digital system. He said the upgraded office will give new speed to e-governance work and help different departments function in a better way. The improved system will also be useful during important tasks like elections, he added.
NIC officers said the modern office will increase work efficiency and make services faster and smoother. Officials also said that government digital services will now reach people with more ease, transparency and efficiency.
