Jake Hall’s former clubs Grays Athletic and Boston United have paid tribute to the late TOWIE star after a tragic accident that occurred in Spain involving a glass door

Football clubs have paid heartfelt tributes following the death of The Only Way Is Essex star Jake Hall.

The 35 year old reality TV personality was discovered deceased at a holiday villa in Majorca, Spain, following a tragic accident involving a glass door.

Jake, who featured on the show during his relationship with Chloe Lewis, was found with serious head injuries in a pool of blood, caused by glass shards. It’s understood he had been out socialising and returned to his rented accommodation to continue festivities.

The fashion designer previously played for clubs including Grays Athletic and Boston United during his football career, with both sides sharing moving tributes following the devastating news.

“Grays Athletic are deeply saddened to receive the news that former player Jake Hall has tragically died whilst on holiday in Majorca,” the club said in a statement. “The club would like to send its heartfelt condolences to Jake’s family and friends at this very difficult time. RIP Jake.”

Boston United also honoured their former player, writing: “RIP Jake…, You were only with us a short time, but your presence shone the spotlight on the club. We will always remember that goal against Tamworth. Our thoughts go out to your family and friends.”, reports the Irish Mirror.

Following the incident, six people – four men and two women – who were at the property are believed to have been questioned by police. Emergency crews rushed to the Santa Margalida property at 7:30am local time, with a post-mortem examination expected as the Civil Guard carries on with its inquiry.

Jake leaves behind a daughter. The reality TV star welcomed a child with Misse Beqiri in November 2017, though their romance ended shortly after they got engaged in May 2018.

Hall appeared in TOWIE from series 14 to 17 before choosing to focus on his fashion endeavours. He operated a menswear brand with the ethos: “Fashion is about more than just good clothes. It’s art.”

Following his death, TOWIE released a statement expressing: “Jake was a part of the TOWIE family for a number of years and we send our very deepest sympathies to his family and friends following today’s very sad news.”
