This Chanel Métiers d’Art Show was mounted in Seoul, South Korea, yesterday — the collection previously showed in New York — and this is very convenient for me because that location allows me to shoehorn in something I need to crowdsource: I was at my nail place this weekend, watching a K-Drama they had on their big TV screen. It was SO compelling that I actually didn’t notice they were giving me gels when I didn’t want them until it was too late. And I need to know what show I was watching!!!! I’ve been Googling all week and no luck. Okay, here is what I can tell you. Please be aware I only saw like 45 minutes of this but: Two very hot people are married but their marriage is rocky. She seems to be in a position of authority at her family’s big deal business????? At any rate, she is rich, and at one point she tells another women (her Dad’s girlfriend??? Maybe??) that she will NEVER rest until she ruins her life. She also has a cough, which obviously is always suspicious in a soap opera. He has a sister who is a hairdresser and the hair salon stuff is definitely comic relief. I suspect he might be, gasp, poor. MEANWHILE two other people are getting married and their wedding is interrupted when the groom’s ex comes storming in wearing a leopard-print dress, fresh out of prison (!!!) and yells at him for (a) not leaving the country as they’d agreed and (b) I think marrying his mistress? (I was reading the subtitles without my glasses.) She then RIPS A TREE (!!!!) out of a planter in the church and BEATS THEM UP WITH THE TREE!!!!! Obviously this was AMAZING and I need to watch the rest of it. PLEASE help me track it down. For some reason, Googling “K-drama tree wedding fight” isn’t helping. Thank you.
