Maluma recently shared how fourteen years of nonstop touring took a toll on his mental health.

The 32-year-old Colombian rapper and singer-songwriter showed up on The Jennifer Hudson Show earlier this month to promote his latest album Loco X Volver.

While touching on different topics, Maluma opened up about how he discovered his lost self in his exhausting musical journey.

He revealed, “I’ve been working on new music and this new project for almost two years. This is in honor of my grandparents, my culture, my city, my music from Colombia.”

The Hola Señorita hitmaker added, “I’ve been touring for almost 14 years in a row and I decided to stop and just pay attention and tried to find myself again. That’s when [my daughter] Paris was born. And at the end of 2024, I started feeling panic attacks that I never had before and that actually changed my life.”

Maluma sought help through professional therapy and music after he had panic attacks for the very first time.

He emphasized, “This project is the deepest part of my soul and my heart. And for sure I never experienced this before. I feel good now. I don’t have any panic attacks anymore, I feel amazing. I feel super excited about this project.”

“It’s a good season for me. I’m enjoying it for sure,” the Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy crooner admitted.

It is pertinent to mention that Maluma, who shares his two-year-old daughter Paris with his girlfriend, Susana Gómez, dropped Loco X Volver on May 15, 2026.
