Cannes kind of petered out this year, no? I suppose the last weekend always feels a bit like this, limping quietly to the finish. Without a bunch of classic Hollywood megastar movies in the lineup this year, it also felt quieter overall, in terms of star power. Culturally, that is probably for the best; more space for international and smaller films to get the attention. Fashion-wise, though, I miss when there were celebs everywhere you looked. Maybe next year.
