As the BJP-led NDA government completes 12 years in office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as the face of the party’s largest political outreach campaign in recent years. Across states, BJP leaders have projected Modi’s tenure as a defining period that reshaped governance, expanded welfare delivery, strengthened national security, and elevated India’s global standing.
The BJP no longer views the anniversary as a routine political milestone. The party has instead positioned the Modi era as a larger national transformation that altered the direction of governance and redefined India’s political narrative.
Today, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led the endorsement campaign with strong praise for Modi’s leadership. In a post on X, Adityanath congratulated Modi on completing “12 glorious years” as the nation’s “pradhan sevak” and described him as the “world’s most popular leader”.
Adityanath said, “Modi government transformed welfare from a bureaucratic promise into a direct tool of empowerment.” According to him, the principle of “Antyodaya” evolved into a national force for self-reliance, while public participation converted development into a mass movement. “The welfare of the poor became a priority of governance during the Modi government,” Adityanath said.
He added that Modi’s vision helped create a “New India” where women’s empowerment, innovation, economic progress, and cultural resurgence advanced together. He also credited Modi with strengthening India’s global image and security posture.
“Steadfast at the borders, decisive against terrorism, and brimming with confidence on the global stage, India today stands established as a strong, reliable leader,” the Chief Minister said while linking the government’s agenda to the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047”.
BJP Launches Nationwide Outreach Campaign
The BJP has expanded the 12-year milestone into a large-scale grassroots mobilisation campaign aimed at reconnecting directly with citizens and welfare beneficiaries.
In Haryana, the BJP announced a statewide outreach drive from June 5 to June 21 after a key organisational meeting attended by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, BJP state affairs in-charge Satish Poonia, BJP national secretary Om Prakash Dhankhar, and Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli.
The BJP has directed MPs to spend one day in every assembly segment under their Lok Sabha constituencies. MLAs will also spend time in every mandal under their assembly constituencies as part of the campaign.
The party will organise media outreach programmes, public welfare camps, cleanliness drives, tree plantation campaigns, Pragati Path Yatras, and district-level “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sammelans”. Union ministers, BJP MPs, MLAs, and senior party office-bearers will participate in the outreach exercise.
Party leaders described the Modi government’s tenure as a period of “historic and unprecedented transformation”. Welfare delivery, infrastructure growth and public participation remain the central themes of the campaign.
The Haryana BJP leadership also discussed the Election Commission’s upcoming Special Intensive Revision exercise for electoral rolls. Leaders appealed to party workers to help eligible voters during the revision process while ensuring duplicate and ineligible entries are removed.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the voter list revision exercise aimed to clean electoral rolls by removing names of deceased voters, eliminating duplicate entries and adding eligible new voters.
Welfare Schemes Anchor BJP Narrative
Adityanath highlighted flagship schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jan-Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana and PM SVANidhi. He said these initiatives carried development directly to the grassroots and strengthened public trust in governance.
According to him, these schemes reflected the BJP’s larger political framework of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas”.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also joined the anniversary messaging. He described the last 12 years as a transformative phase in India’s “civilisational and developmental journey”.
Singh said, “India witnessed unprecedented growth in infrastructure, diplomacy and national security under Modi’s leadership.” He added that the Prime Minister’s commitment to national development and selfless service continued to inspire millions across the country.
From welfare beneficiaries to first-time voters, the BJP now aims to convert governance recall into long-term political consolidation. The party’s anniversary campaign shows how it wants Modi’s years in power to be remembered not simply as a government tenure, but as a defining political shift that reshaped India’s welfare structure, governance model and global identity.
